How deep do you grind?

Accepted Answer

Standard residential grinds go 4–6 inches below grade — enough for lawn restoration, sod, or most landscaping. If you’re planting a new tree, pouring a sidewalk, or doing excavation nearby, we offer a deep grind at 12–14 inches. Just let us know when you reach out.

Will the grinding damage my lawn?

We use a wheeled machine, not tracked equipment, so turf impact is minimal. We’re careful around sprinkler heads, edging, and landscaping. Let us know about any underground systems when you book and we’ll work around them.

What happens to the wood chips?

Your choice. We can leave them as a tidy pile you can use for fill, mulch, or compost — or we haul them away. Just let us know your preference when you book. There’s no extra charge to leave them on-site.

One thing worth knowing: 811 only marks public utility lines — it doesn't cover private lines like irrigation systems, low-voltage lighting, invisible dog fences, or other homeowner-installed systems.
